No solament el p\u00fablic interessat per la hist\u00f2ria del llibre ha crescut, sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 els autors que ens n\u2019expliquen la hist\u00f2ria han transcendit l\u2019\u00e0mbit estricte dels investigadors professionals. I m\u00e9s curi\u00f3s \u00e9s encara que siguin aquests autors els que gaudeixen de l\u2019acceptaci\u00f3 m\u00e9s gran per part del p\u00fablic lector dels nostres dies.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify; margin-bottom:13px\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"line-height:115%\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri,sans-serif\"><span lang=\"CA\" style=\"font-size:12.0pt\"><span style=\"line-height:115%\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;\">Amaranth&nbsp;Borsuk, professora adjunta de la School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences de la Universitat de Washington Bothell, poetessa i artista de llibres, ens va oferir l\u2019any 2018 el llibre <i>The book<\/i> publicat per MIT Press.<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\" title=\"\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\" style=\"vertical-align:super\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\" style=\"vertical-align:super\"><span lang=\"CA\" style=\"font-size:12.0pt\"><span style=\"line-height:115%\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;\">[1]<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>&nbsp;Dos anys despr\u00e9s acaba de ser tradu\u00eft per Lucila Cordone i publicat per l\u2019editorial Ampersand de la Ciutat Aut\u00f2noma de Buenos Aires. Aquesta particularitat ja denota l\u2019\u00e8xit i la bona acollida que ha tingut aquesta nova publicaci\u00f3 que, tradu\u00efda a l\u2019espanyol, ha aparegut amb el t\u00edtol m\u00e9s desenvolupat de <i>El libro expandido: variaciones, materialidad y experimentos.<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify; margin-bottom:13px\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"line-height:115%\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri,sans-serif\"><span lang=\"CA\" style=\"font-size:12.0pt\"><span style=\"line-height:115%\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;\">L\u2019obra est\u00e0 distribu\u00efda en quatre cap\u00edtols completats per una cronologia, un glossari i una breu selecci\u00f3 de lectures recomanades. El primer cap\u00edtol versa sobre el llibre com a objecte i es parla de les tauletes, dels rotlles en papir, del pergam\u00ed i del paper, per\u00f2, mesclat amb aquesta tem\u00e0tica, s\u2019hi inclouen tamb\u00e9 breus apartats sobre l\u2019alfabet, la tradici\u00f3 manuscrita i els canvis en la manera de llegir i en l\u2019escriptura. Ja aqu\u00ed es nota una certa desorganitzaci\u00f3 i desordre en la exposici\u00f3 d\u2019aquest cap\u00edtol amb la barreja d\u2019elements que mereixerien un tractament m\u00e9s individualitzat. Deixant de banda que l\u2019escriptura precedeix la lectura, la tradici\u00f3 dels manuscrits poc t\u00e9 a veure amb el llibre com a objecte, per no entrar en m\u00e9s detalls.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify; margin-bottom:13px\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"line-height:115%\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri,sans-serif\"><span lang=\"CA\" style=\"font-size:12.0pt\"><span style=\"line-height:115%\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;\">Un segon cap\u00edtol porta per t\u00edtol \u00abEl libro como contenido\u00bb, per\u00f2 aqu\u00ed el que es fa \u00e9s parlar d\u2019algunes particularitats del llibre impr\u00e8s. El tercer cap\u00edtol se centra en \u00abEl libro como idea\u00bb i, en aquet apartat, l\u2019autora, deixant-se portar per la seva condici\u00f3 de poeta i tamb\u00e9 d\u2019artista de llibres, tal i com se\u2019ns presenta en la solapa anterior, ens ofereix una \u00e0mplia exposici\u00f3 del que \u00e9s per a ella el llibre com a realitat virtual, com a espai cinematogr\u00e0fic, com a estructura \u00abreconvinante\u00bb, com a objecte ef\u00edmer i com a objecte mut\u2026 I el darrer cap\u00edtol, presentat sota el t\u00edtol \u00abEl libro como interfaz\u00bb, tracta sobre el llibre que ja comencem a viure i que va guanyant terreny al model tradicional.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify; margin-bottom:13px\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"line-height:115%\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri,sans-serif\"><span lang=\"CA\" style=\"font-size:12.0pt\"><span style=\"line-height:115%\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;\">Pel que he dit fins aqu\u00ed, ja es veu que \u00e9s un llibre presentat des de la subjectivitat apassionada i amb una estructura poc ordenada; no hi manquen, a m\u00e9s, les confusions de conceptes i hi sovinteja la poca precisi\u00f3 terminol\u00f2gica, com, per exemple, la tan essencial (i elemental) entre p\u00e0gina i foli. O, en la definici\u00f3 de papir, quan hom diu que \u00e9s un \u00ab<i>papel<\/i> elaborado con tiras\u00bb. O que el reclam s\u2019ubiqui en un \u00abmanuscrito o codice <em>impreso<\/em>\u00bb. O que es digui que la <em>scriptio continua<\/em> era un \u00abestilo de escritura cont\u00ednua, griego y romano, que carec\u00eda de espacios, <em>uso de may\u00fasculas<\/em> o puntuaci\u00f3n para distinguir las palabras\u00bb. O en la definici\u00f3 de l\u2019escriptura uncial, on s\u2019afirma que estava \u00abinspirada en la min\u00fascula romana\u00bb!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify; margin-bottom:13px\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"line-height:115%\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri,sans-serif\"><span lang=\"CA\" style=\"font-size:12.0pt\"><span style=\"line-height:115%\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;\">Els errors de conceptes b\u00e0sics no acaben en aquests exemples i, per tant, no goso pas augurar al llibre, m\u00e9s voluntari\u00f3s que encertat, un gran inter\u00e8s, no ja entre els especialistes, sin\u00f3 entre el p\u00fablic culte.
