Tot un repte. Contractar, traduir i publicar el llibre en q\u00fcesti\u00f3 de mesos. Per\u00f2 el revers de la moneda \u00e9s, al meu entendre, una certa precipitaci\u00f3 que aflora en la cura de l\u2019edici\u00f3 (per ex., a la p\u00e0gina 17 trobem un parell d\u2019errates tipogr\u00e0fiques cridaneres), i tamb\u00e9 en la necess\u00e0ria adaptaci\u00f3 de moltes informacions i dades a les caracter\u00edstiques del mercat espanyol i llatinoameric\u00e0, tal i com apunta el mateix autor a la \u00abNota a la edici\u00f3n espa\u00f1ola\u00bb. La comparaci\u00f3 que fa \u00e9s certa, l\u2019angl\u00e8s i l\u2019espanyol s\u00f3n les \u00faniques lleng\u00fces que tenen els seus mercats a les dues vores de l\u2019Atl\u00e0ntic, per\u00f2 aqu\u00ed s\u2019acaba el paral\u00b7lelisme.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\" style=\"margin-bottom:11px\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"line-height:107%\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri,sans-serif\"><span lang=\"CA\" style=\"font-size:12.0pt\"><span style=\"line-height:107%\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;\">Deixant de banda consideracions universals sobre alguns aspectes del m\u00f3n editorial, de la pr\u00f2pia producci\u00f3 material del llibre com a objecte, els cinc primers cap\u00edtols s\u00f3n espec\u00edficament refer\u00e8ncies del mercat dels Estats Units i t\u00e9 pocs paral\u00b7lelismes amb l\u2019hisp\u00e0. Es podia fer un treball d\u2019adaptaci\u00f3 a la realitat m\u00e9s propera? Tal com est\u00e0 no ens resulta informaci\u00f3 \u00fatil.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\" style=\"margin-bottom:11px\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"line-height:107%\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri,sans-serif\"><span lang=\"CA\" style=\"font-size:12.0pt\"><span style=\"line-height:107%\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;\">Si comparem la informaci\u00f3 que ens proporciona del comer\u00e7 del llibre a EUA i la seva estructura de llibreries amb el que trobem a l\u2019informe de l\u2019any 2019 de l\u2019<i>Observatorio de la librer\u00eda<\/i> de la CEGAL (Confederaci\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola de Gremios y Asociaciones de Libreros) sobre les llibreries a Espanya, comprovem que s\u00f3n mons prou allunyats i diversos.<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\" title=\"\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\" style=\"vertical-align:super\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\" style=\"vertical-align:super\"><span lang=\"CA\" style=\"font-size:12.0pt\"><span style=\"line-height:107%\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;\">[1]<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\" style=\"margin-bottom:11px\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"line-height:107%\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri,sans-serif\"><span lang=\"CA\" style=\"font-size:12.0pt\"><span style=\"line-height:107%\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;\">Igualment passa amb la ind\u00fastria de l\u2019audiollibre, de gran \u00e8xit de fa molts anys als Estats Units, per\u00f2 irrellevant a casa nostra, amb un 3 % dels lectors, segons l\u2019enquesta de <i>H\u00e1bitos de lectura<\/i> de la Federaci\u00f3n de Gremios de Editores de Espa\u00f1a.<a href=\"#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\" title=\"\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\" style=\"vertical-align:super\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\" style=\"vertical-align:super\"><span lang=\"CA\" style=\"font-size:12.0pt\"><span style=\"line-height:107%\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;\">[2]<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a> Pel que fa al llibre infantil i juvenil, tres quarts del mateix, ens informa d\u2019un volum de vendes superior al de la resta de formats d\u2019edici\u00f3, alhora que parla de la influ\u00e8ncia dels prescriptors en la comunicaci\u00f3 \u00abboca a boca\u00bb [sic].<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\" style=\"margin-bottom:11px\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"line-height:107%\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri,sans-serif\"><span lang=\"CA\" style=\"font-size:12.0pt\"><span style=\"line-height:107%\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;\">Fins i tot en l\u2019an\u00e0lisi dels tipus d\u2019editorial per enquadernaci\u00f3 (editorials de tapa dura?) o per format, no ens apropem a la nostra realitat.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\" style=\"margin-bottom:11px\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"line-height:107%\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri,sans-serif\"><span lang=\"CA\" style=\"font-size:12.0pt\"><span style=\"line-height:107%\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;\">El cap\u00edtol \u00abUn poco de historia editorial\u00bb \u00e9s exclusivament referit als EUA, una historia que no t\u00e9 res a veure amb la nostra.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\" style=\"margin-bottom:11px\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"line-height:107%\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri,sans-serif\"><span lang=\"CA\" style=\"font-size:12.0pt\"><span style=\"line-height:107%\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;\">Potser on es pot trobar informaci\u00f3 m\u00e9s aprofitable \u00e9s en el cap\u00edtol dedicat a Amazon i el futur de l\u2019edici\u00f3, sobretot per l\u2019important volum de vendes que vehicula en format paper (un 50 % del total, segons l\u2019autor) i per la gran empenta que est\u00e0 rebent el m\u00f3n de l\u2019autoedici\u00f3 als Estats Units, on qualsevol pot introduir la seva novel\u00b7la i comercialitzar-la, fets ambd\u00f3s que ja s\u2019est\u00e0n comen\u00e7ant a desenvolupar a les nostres latituds.
