Influir en la moralitat imperant a la societat. Ser font de coneixement i de significat per a l\u2019exist\u00e8ncia humana. Aquestes i moltes altres caracter\u00edstiques s\u2019han atribu\u00eft a l\u2019acte de llegir en diferents moments de la hist\u00f2ria. Frank Furedi, professor em\u00e8rit de Sociologia a la Universitat de Kent, ens ofereix en aquesta an\u00e0lisi un viatge hist\u00f2ric complet per diferents significats del text escrit en la cultura occidental.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Qu\u00e8 llegim i com llegim \u00e9s una part essencial de la nostra identitat. Conscients del poder de la lectura sobre els lectors, les autoritats religioses i pol\u00edtiques han intentat controlar l&#8217;acc\u00e9s als diferents punts de vista i idees que contenen els llibres. S\u00f2crates ja va fer una crida contra els perills de la lectura indiscriminada i va destacar la manca de visi\u00f3 cr\u00edtica de gran part dels lectors, els quals no tenen les capacitats necess\u00e0ries per arribar al veritable significat dels llibres. Furedi assenyala que aquesta idea de la suposada \u00abjerarquia de lectors\u00bb s\u2019ha mantingut a les societats occidentals com a sistema de control social a trav\u00e9s dels segles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">La visi\u00f3 de la societat envers la lectura ha canviat considerablement en altres aspectes. En el passat, l\u2019acte de llegir s\u2019associava a una experi\u00e8ncia personal \u00fanica que podia arribar a l\u2019\u00e0mbit espiritual dels lectors. Segons Furedi, actualment el debat est\u00e0 excessivament centrat en les conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncies negatives de la sobreinformaci\u00f3 causada per les noves tecnologies, i la lectura ha passat a considerar-se una activitat no natural de l\u2019\u00e9sser hum\u00e0 que suposa un esfor\u00e7 excessivament gran.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"drupal-import-img\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/edl\/wp-content\/inici_blog_EdL\/2016\/ressenyes\/power_reading.JPG\" style=\"width: 450px; height: 672px; border-width: 0px; border-style: solid;\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">El tema de l\u2019alfabetitzaci\u00f3 ha estat sempre condicionat per interessos pol\u00edtics, econ\u00f2mics i, fins i tot, sanitaris. L\u2019autor destaca, encertadament, l\u2019actual medicaci\u00f3 excessiva d\u2019infants per solucionar problemes de comprensi\u00f3 lectora (disl\u00e8xia, d\u00e8ficit d\u2019atenci\u00f3\u2026). I com un sistema educatiu generalitzat des del segle passat no ha aconseguit fer dels nostres estudiants uns lectors competents.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">La lectura, per\u00f2, \u00e9s un concepte molt m\u00e9s complex que el de l&#8217;alfabetitzaci\u00f3. Es tracta d\u2019interpretar i imaginar. Per als lectors, el que importa no \u00e9s simplement el que expressa un llibre, sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 el que significa per a cadascun d\u2019ells. Aquesta \u00e9s la idea que defensa Furedi, llegir \u00e9s una activitat arriscada, per\u00f2 permet endinsar-nos en el nostre interior i alhora veure el m\u00f3n amb una mirada diferent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><em>Power of reading<\/em> \u00e9s un treball interessant on no trobarem propostes innovadores que ens sorprenguin, per\u00f2 que ens ofereix arguments a tots aquells addictes a l\u2019art de llegir per reflexionar sobre el present i futur dels llibres i, en definitiva, sobre el significat de la lectura en la nostra societat.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Joana Ferrer<br \/>\n\tBibliotec\u00e0ria, CRAI Biblioteca Medicina UB<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Furedi, Frank.
