Finalista Premio Anagrama de Ensayo, 2013.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify rtejustify\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Una de les funcions de l&#8217;escriptura ha estat de sempre la voluntat de fixar la mem\u00f2ria d&#8217;un m\u00f3n crepuscular, el recorregut emocional i emocionat d&#8217;un autor en el naufragi d&#8217;all\u00f2 que va ser la seva gent i la seva p\u00e0tria; i el m\u00f3n de Jorge Carri\u00f3n ha estat i segueix sent el llibre, els llibres, i aquells qui poblen aquest seu espai m\u00edtic: escriptors i llibreries, la cartografia de la seva p\u00e0tria m\u00e9s \u00edntima.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--break--><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify rtejustify\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Seria inexacte per\u00f2 de classificar aquesta obra l\u00facida i erudita, a m\u00e9s de for\u00e7a entretinguda, nom\u00e9s com la mem\u00f2ria del naufragi d&#8217;un m\u00f3n. Jorge Carri\u00f3n tampoc no ens proposa com muntar una llibreria, ni un recorregut ordenat i program\u00e0tic pels diversos models de negocis llibreters, encara que al capdavall potser el lector interessat en podr\u00e0 treure alguna lli\u00e7\u00f3 interessant. Tampoc no \u00e9s espec\u00edficament un llibre de viatges, malgrat que alguna cosa t\u00e9 de peregrinaci\u00f3. S\u00ed que hi ha molta reflexi\u00f3 i pensament \u2013molta literatura\u2013 sobre la cultura i la seva transmissi\u00f3, i tot aix\u00f2 lligat inextricablement a un mapa mundial aleatori i selectiu d&#8217;aquests espais destinats al comer\u00e7 i l&#8217;intercanvi de llibres, aquests espais nost\u00e0lgicament i feli\u00e7ment ap\u00e0trides.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify rtejustify\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Segons Carri\u00f3n, les llibreries s\u00f3n uns \u00e9ssers ef\u00edmers que experimenten una exist\u00e8ncia sovint curta, atzarosa \u2013i m\u00e9s quan se les compara a la llarga vida de les biblioteques. Les llibreries tenen freq\u00fcentment vides dif\u00edcils, \u00e8piques, tamb\u00e9 poden, per\u00f2 seguir exist\u00e8ncies adotzenades \u2013formar part d&#8217;una cadena\u2013, o patir la fama i esdevenir c\u00e8lebres en transformar-se en un lloc m\u00edtic (tur\u00edstic!), i en aquests moments de canvis poden simplement desapar\u00e8ixer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify rtejustify\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">I aqu\u00ed entra la figura de l&#8217;escriptor que vol fixar aquest m\u00f3n en mudan\u00e7a o declivi, historiar aquestes m\u00e0quines del temps, a trav\u00e9s d&#8217;un recorregut personal per una s\u00e8rie de llibreries d&#8217;arreu del m\u00f3n \u2013no sempre les m\u00e9s significatives.&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif;font-size:12.0pt;\">\u00ab<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">[&#8230;] sent\u00ed que estaba sellando alg\u00fan tipo de documento, que iba acumulando estampas que certificaban mi paso por una ruta internacional de las librer\u00edas m\u00e1s importantes o m\u00e1s significativas o mejores o m\u00e1s antiguas o m\u00e1s interesantes o simplemente m\u00e1s accesibles en aquel momento [\u2026] Fue en la Librer\u00eda del Pensativo de Ciudad de Guatemala donde recog\u00ed el primer sello<\/span><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif;font-size:12.0pt;\">\u00bb<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify rtejustify\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Llibreries d&#8217;Orient i d&#8217;Occident: la Librairie Kauffmann d&#8217;Atenes, la Livraria Bertrand de Lisboa \u2013la m\u00e9s antiga del m\u00f3n\u2013 o la Lello de Porto \u2013probablement, una de les m\u00e9s boniques. La Shakespeare and Company o la Hune, entre altres llibreries parisenques, algunes ja desaparegudes: subversi\u00f3, activisme, qualitat o&nbsp;<\/span><em><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">postura<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">? La Karl Marx Buchhandlung de Berl\u00edn Est, les llibreries de l&#8217;Havana, Caracas o Moscou i els seus significats en la pol\u00edtica. L&#8217;encontre o la separaci\u00f3 entre diversos mons en la Librairie des Colonnes de T\u00e0nger, llibreters i llibreries d&#8217;Istanbul, Shanghai, Beijing o Tokyo&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify rtejustify\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Les llibreries del Nou M\u00f3n: la ruta 66, Am\u00e8rica de costa a costa, de la Strand de Nova York a la Green Apple i a la City Lights de San Francisco; sense oblidar World&#8217;s Biggest Bookstore d&#8217;Ont\u00e0rio, al Canad\u00e0. I d&#8217;all\u00e0 sempre cap al Sud: el carrer Donceles a M\u00e8xic D.F. de la m\u00e0 de Roberto Bola\u00f1o, El Virrey de Lima, llibreries de Montevideo, i evidentment Buenos Aires com a met\u00e0fora: espectacle, autenticitat i cultura. I de retorn a Par\u00eds, icones, mites, fetitxes, turistes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify rtejustify\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">I roda el m\u00f3n i torna el Born, Matar\u00f3, Barcelona i Madrid, la Robafaves, Laie, La Central del CCCB&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify rtejustify\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Metaliteratura?, un llibre m\u00e9s sobre llibres (aquesta moda de la colzada intel\u00b7lectual entre parells)?, una col\u00b7lecci\u00f3 de&nbsp;<\/span><em><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">souvenirs<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">?, la&nbsp;<\/span><em><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">moleskine<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">&nbsp;d&#8217;un mit\u00f2man? Potser s\u00ed, per\u00f2 bastant m\u00e9s que tot aix\u00f2: un text intel\u00b7ligent i profund que es mou entre la reflexi\u00f3 sobre la llibreria com a \u00e9sser viu, com a significat, com a acumulaci\u00f3 i dispersi\u00f3 del saber; literatura de viatges, hist\u00f2ria i cr\u00edtica cultural i liter\u00e0ria, el significat de la lectura, de les modes, de les icones liter\u00e0ries, la literatura com a subversi\u00f3 i com a consum. M\u00e9s enll\u00e0 del negoci, la relaci\u00f3 entre la creaci\u00f3 liter\u00e0ria i la llibreria, el centre descentralitzat de la cultura, la mitomania posada al descobert.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify rtejustify\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif;font-size:12.0pt;\">\u00ab<\/span><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Las librer\u00edas son negocios en un doble nivel, simult\u00e1neo e indesligable: econ\u00f3mico y simb\u00f3lico, venta de ejemplares y creaci\u00f3n y destrucci\u00f3n de famas, reafirmaci\u00f3n del gusto dominante o invenci\u00f3n de uno nuevo, dep\u00f3sitos y cr\u00e9ditos. Las librer\u00edas, desde siempre, han sido aquelarres del canon y por tanto puntos clave de la geopol\u00edtica cultural.
