KALEIDOSCOPE project for the creation of the Observatory of Youth, Sexualities and Media.

The first meeting of the R&D&I project KALEIDOSCOPE, “Observatory of Sexualities, Youth and Media: identifying needs and proposing solutions for young people and professionals in education, health and media”, co-led by CRICC researchers María José Masanet and Sergio Villanueva, took place on October 17.

This project has been funded with 100,000 € in the last call for R+D+i projects of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and the State Research Agency, and will be carried out between 2024 and 2028. Researchers from the University of Barcelona, the University of Deusto and the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria are participating in the project. Also collaborating are social agents and activists from the Colectivo Gamá LGTB, the Centre Jove d’Atenció a les Sexualitats (Cjas) and the feminist cooperative Sudergintza.

KALEIDOSCOPE aims to create the Observatory of Youth, Sexualities and Media and the elaboration of its strategic plan 2027-2037 through a participatory action-research process that will combine quantitative and qualitative research methods, and will adopt a transdisciplinary and intersectional approach.
