On Wednesday April 10, as part of the Dimecres del CRICC activities, we enjoyed a session on European calls for gender research in 2024, co-organized with the Equality Unit and the Office of International Research Projects (OPIR) of the UB, and taught by Marisa Segura and Mima Salafranca.
The objective of the activity, which will be transferred to other faculties of the UB by the OPIR, is to promote the incorporation of the gender perspective in research not only in specific projects for gender but in a transversal way. That is why the session addressed gender calls for proposals with opportunities for the disciplines of Information, Communication and Culture.
The presenters began the session with a presentation of the OPIR and the support work they offer in the search for calls for proposals. Their task is focused on helping research projects in the pre-award phase.
The main part of the presentation focused on raising awareness of European call programs of interest to CRICC disciplines, such as Horizon Europe, with special interest in Cluster 2 focused on Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society; Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) and the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF), in addition to other funding programs at the international level.
The session concluded with some advice and a short discussion on how to address the gender perspective in research project proposals.
