A new report has been published in the framework of the CHARTER (Cultural Heritage Actions to Refine Training, Education and Roles) project, led by CRICC member Lluís Bonet, which aims to create a lasting and comprehensive sectoral skills strategy to ensure that Europe has the necessary cultural heritage skills to support sustainable societies and economies, including transversal skills such as digital/technological and green/blue economy skills.
CHARTER is an ERASMUS+ project within the European Blueprint for Sectoral Cooperation on Skills. Under the blueprint, stakeholders work together in sector-specific partnerships, which develop and implement strategies to address skills gaps in these sectors. CHARTER is the Cultural Heritage (CH) sector-specific partnership. All 47 partners in 18 EU member states, form an alliance to map European landscape of competencies, occupations, education and training, and develop recommendations for European strategies to address skills gaps in the field.
The aim of this report by WP4 is to collect and summarise preliminary findings from previous reports of the CHARTER project (from WP2, WP3, and WP4), looking for improvements to fill gaps and improve CH virtuous learning circle, career development and quality certification standards.
